Holidays at Maggiano’s

HealthCare Staffing Professionals stepped out the office for a holiday lunch at Maggiano’s Little Italy. The food was so delicious, service was great, but most importantly we all had an amazing time. The laughter shared and the warmth of appreciation with one another was in the air. HSP also did secret Santa and we loved seeing everyone’s reaction when they opened their presents. Heather Haas, our Senior recruiter helped put this awesome lunch together and we just want to thank her!

This lunch wouldn’t have happened without the president of the company, Maxie Juzang. HSP appreciates you so much Maxie Juzang. Thank you for taking us out to this holiday lunch and the gifts you gave each of us. We appreciate your positive energy and always motivating us to do better. HSP came a long way with all the hard work and exceeding goals. We grown so much and none of this would have been possible if we didn’t work as a team. Our team is dedicated, focused, and just know all your hard work does not go unnoticed.

HSP wants to wish all our Employees, Clients, Partners, etc. a Happy, Healthy and Blessed Holiday Season and a Prosperous New Year!!!

HSP’s Top Sale Performer May And June 2017

Maricel’s Trip To San Francisco

For being the top Sales performer for the months of May and June, Maricel won an all expenses paid trip to San Francisco. This Trip included 4 roundtrip Airline tickets, 3 day 2 night stay at the beautiful Hilton in Union Square and experiences that will last a lifetime. We took the time to talk to Maricel and discuss her experience on the trip, here are some of the memories she had to share.

Q: Top performer for the month of May and June. How do you feel about that?

A: It feels great. I feel like I have accomplished something and all of my hard work paid off.

Q: Are you excited about upcoming contests?

A: Very excited! I’m looking forward to upcoming contests.

Q: How do you feel about HSP rewarding you on this trip?

A:  I’m happy that the company is doing this because we get rewarded for all of our hard work and it’s so motivating to win a contest.

Q: Where did you stay in San Francisco?

A: I stayed at the Hilton on the 46th floor. It was a beautiful view of the city. As soon as my family and I get there, they treated us so well and offered us food on the house. I loved that.

Q: What did you do while being out there?

A: We visited Lombard Street, Fisherman’s Wharf (loved the clam chowder there), Golden Gate Bridge, St. Mary Cathedral, Union square mall and Twin Peaks.  I loved the weather out there and the fact that everything is ECO friendly.

Thank you, Maricel for taking the time to share your memories. Congrats on winning!

HSP at CHLA Fundraising Walk

Children’s Hospital Los Angeles hosted its inaugural Walk L.A. on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Griffith Park. This four-kilometer walk brought everyone in the community together; Over 1,200 participants came together to support CHLA  from patients, faculty members, caregivers, researchers, patients and their families, corporate partners, Ambassadors and supporters.

CHLA and all the volunteers did a great job setting up the booths and all the fun activities. Everyone at HSP who attended had nothing but good things to share about their experience. Here are some of the things that each person had to say about their experience

“I never had so much fun going on a walk! I’m definitely doing this again next year!” – Heather.

“It was fun learning how to do Thai Chi! And meeting so many people”-Soubia

“I loved all of the activities. There were many out-going people and it was a positive environment!”- Fernando

“I like that this was more than just a walk. There were educational games that were health related and I enjoyed that” – Robert

“It was fun hanging out with everyone outside of work, and even better when it involves doing something for a great cause” -Ismael

Overall, we loved that this walk brought us all close together and most importantly we contributed to a great cause . Not only did it get us closer, but we decided to be more involved next year. Each person we met  was so positive and welcoming. We’ve learned so much more about the hospital itself and how CHLA goes over and beyond to help their patients and families.

CHLA is one of the organizations HSP donates to, and it was nice to participate for such a great cause.  The Campaign exceeded their goal by raising over $355,000! They are still accepting donations through the end of this month, and best way to donate is through this link

From Healthcare to the Peace Corps. A Recruiters Journey

From Healthcare to the Peace Corps. A Recruiters Journey

Today we are both happy and sad because one of our Recruiters, Rachel Aouate, is leaving HSP to join the Peace Corps. Rachel started working at HSP over a year ago. Her ability to bond with her candidates, understand the client’s needs, and her desire to keep on learning and to better herself each day, is what propelled Rachel into becoming one of the top Recruiters at HSP.

Before leaving, we sat down with Rachel to discussed her time at HSP, and give us a little insight into why she decided to join the Peace Corps.

Before we start, I would just like to say that everyone at HSP is sad that you are leaving, but we  understand why you are doing it, but for the readers at home, could you tell them what made you want to join the Peace Corps?

Rachel: What fascinated me about the Peace Corps, was the work that they do and continue to do. I was fascinated with the fact that a single Individual can make a huge difference on other people’s lives.

As you embark on this new journey of your life, what is the thing or things that you are looking forward to the most?

Rachel: One of the things that I am looking forward to the most , is the mutual learning between the community and myself. Being placed in a different culture, and community from where I grew up, will allow me to experience things that I have never experience before, and see things from a whole new perspective.

What were some of the things that you enjoy about working at HSP, and what is one memory that you will never forget?

Rachel: What I enjoyed about working at HSP is the diverse and friendly environment, where your coworkers become your friends.

Where management gives you every resource that you need to become successful.  Let me think, one of fondest memories that I have about HSP, is that every once in a while, we have a pot luck. Maxie (HSP President/CEO) is always joking that we at HSP are like the United Nations, where we have many people of different cultures and backgrounds, all working together for a common goal. And when we have a pot luck it truly feels like the United Nations, where you get to taste Shrimp Ceviche from Mexico, Dinuguan from the Philippines and Gumbo from Louisiana.

One last question, what are a couple things that you would like people to know about yourself?

Rachel: I love donuts, elephants, and cats.

Thank you Rachel, for taking time off your busy schedule and answering some of our questions. We know that you must be busy packing and getting ready to start Peace Corps Training. We will truly miss you.

Rachel: No problem, and I will miss all of you as well.
