Valentines day blog e1612898606629

Valentine’s day is here, and it feels like we were just ringing in the New Year! The year will go by as we know it but let’s enjoy everyday moment we can. Per our previous blog post “What tier do you fall under?”, we had mentioned the vaccine distribution is under way and not everyone is able to get the vaccine just yet. As we work our way down the COVID 19 Vaccination Tier Chart, there are many safe ways to enjoy everyday activities. Of course, we still must keep in mind that we are still getting through the pandemic together, and safety should always be on our mind! We have come along way since the beginning of the pandemic and many businesses have been able to reopen with limitations in place. So, what does this mean for your Valentine? Eating their favorite meal is possible!

If you wish to spend this Valentine’s Day at a restaurant, many restaurants have outdoor seating available for anyone who wishes to eat there. Seating is limited and many tables have been spread out about 6 feet from each other as it is one of the many regulations put in place to offer outdoor dining. If you wish to eat at a restaurant and enjoy your meal outdoors, I recommend carrying disinfecting wipes with you to wipe down the table before sitting and carry hand sanitizer with you for before and after your meal. Are you thinking about the handling of menus? Some restaurants have made their menus available online for you to view to limit the exposure of hand handling menus between customers and staff (great idea, I must say). As there are regulations in place to keep you and your loved ones safe always remember to do your part when out in public.

Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer often!

Wear your mask PROPERLY (over the nose, cover your mouth and under the chin)

Social Distance (keep 6ft distance from others)

If you are a homebody and want to stick to take out and watching movies at home, there is nothing wrong with that! Good food, safe environment, dressed in comfortable clothes, and no crowds – I mean, come on who doesn’t want to do this?! Even if you wish to switch up the scenery, take out allows you to take your favorite meal A-N-Y-W-H-E-R-E! If you follow the basic precautions listed above, take your meal to the park, beach, mountain top, or your yard, wherever you and your loved ones go this Valentines day, do it safely!

If you are looking for activities to do with your loved ones here are some ideas!

          Have a Paint night!

o   Have a member pic a photo and try your best to recreate it.

          At home pizza party

o   At home pizza making is super easy and fun! Many stores have pizza kits with all the necessary ingredients and if you wish to add more toppings you can!

Playing cards games or board games is always a great idea!

Stay at home classic Movie night!

We hope you all have a great Valentines day and Remember to celebrate safely!
