One vaccine at a time!
Over the recent months many have been monitoring Myturn.ca.gov to see when they would be able to register themselves to receive the COVID vaccine. According to the latest CDC COVID Data tracker, there has been 148 million vaccines administered to date. Vaccinations are being administered, many counties and states have been able to move into less restrictive COVID tier levels – Exciting, I know!
We could not be any happier then to see what great progress many communities have made and continue to make throughout the pandemic. The past year has not been easy, yet we continue to hold our heads up high and make the best of it. Families, medical staff, grocery workers across the United States have made sacrifices to help our country stay safe and healthy. The enforcement of wearing a mask, social distancing, proper hand washing has made it possible for us to move into less restrictive tiers. As vaccines continue to be distributed and we continue to do our part we can hopefully see all counties and states reach yellow tier level. To find out more about the different tier level click here! This link will provide information on how the tiers are measured, what are key indicators that will determine reopening’s, and what counties have to do in order to move into another tier level.
In other news, if you have already been vaccinated, you may be wondering what now? Can I avoid wearing a mask in public, can I gather with loved ones? Most places are still requiring that you wear a mask, social distance and have also set up sanitation stations for the public to use. Just because you have the vaccine it doesn’t mean that you will not get it, there still is a possibility you can contract the virus, that’s why it is important to continue to take proper precautions provided by the CDC and your government officials. As far as gatherings, it has been said that you can gather with other members of your family who have been vaccinated but still take precaution, however if you or your family is not fully vaccinated and/or are still waiting for your turn, the CDC recommends avoid gathering with people outside your household if you are not vaccinated. If you would like more information on how the vaccine distribution is done or who has already been cleared to receive the vaccine along with who will be next be sure to go to Myturn.ca.gov .
Stay safe. Wear a mask. Social distance. Wash your hands. Get vaccinated!
