November, already?!
Well, we have made it to November everyone. This year continues to be a roller coaster we cannot seem to get off of so might as well enjoy it, we have made it this far, let’s keep going. As the end of the year approaches, we only have November and December to get through, and only hope that 2021 will be a better year. These next two months are huge for family gatherings and family festivities, so it is only natural that we start thinking about who is hosting the family dinner this year? What are we going to do for the kids? How is this year going to be different? Do not panic, as we saw in October with Halloween, there was plenty of safe family fun activities to do, so Thanksgiving and Christmas shouldn’t be that different.
Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving morning it is not unusual to see families gather to play a game of football, kickball, soccer at a park or even enjoy a morning hike before the cooking starts! You can still enjoy these fun traditions with your family! Going for a morning hike or even taking a walk around your neighborhood will be a great idea, you will get your blood flowing, get some fresh air, enjoy the morning sun a bit with a cup of coffee. If your family had the tradition of playing a sport the morning of thanksgiving we recommend to check the park rules before hand to make sure you are allowed to be out there, the last thing you want is to be fined! We can also recommend that you be safe and consider a sport that is not person to person contact or if you do just make sure to keep the games within members of your family to avoid any possible exposure. Keeping the teams limited to just your family members, you are more aware of who they have come in contact and where they have been.
Christmas!
I know what you are thinking, lets get through Thanksgiving first! However, you will see that Christmas decorations have already taken over many stores. We have yet to see the Christmas decorations go up on houses but it’s coming we can feel it! We won’t get into what we can do during the holiday season this year as we still have November and Thanksgiving to focus on, but we do want to just give a little tip. Due to the pandemic we have seen that online sales have increased since many stores have been closed so in result, we have seen shipping times take a little longer than expected. A small piece of advice if we may, think about your holiday shopping now (cough – Black Friday deals – Cough) make sure to look out for shipping dates and if you are doing specials orders ask about when is the best time to place the order so you have it by your deadline.
Stay tune for our next blogs as we discover what holiday festivities you can do with the family this holiday season! We will give recommendations that will keep you and your loved ones in the holiday spirit and safe this time of year.
As advised in previous blogs we always want you to double check with your state officials to see if your area has any restrictions/ limitations. For the most part we think that you will still be able to enjoy the holiday season just like all the other years, just with limitations, of course.
