Happy Dining!
Hope you all enjoyed the 3-day weekend, this year,
Valentine’s Day, and President’s Day landed in the same weekend giving everyone
more of a reason to go out and celebrate! Restaurants are now open for outdoor
dining and many people could not wait to go back out to their favorite spot! As
we see more restaurants set up for outdoor dining, we come to realize that we
are making progress in slowing the curve! That’s exciting news! Since the
beginning of the shut down back in March 2020 we did not know too much about the
COVID-19 virus nor did we think it would have such an impact on our lives, all
our lives have changed so much since then. But here we are February 2021 stay
at home orders have been lifted, malls have reopened, outdoor dining is
available, hiking trails are open, and little by little we will adapt to a new
way of life.
While we are seeing more people venturing out, we should
always practice safety precautions. Social distance, wear a face covering, practice good hygiene.
Stores within the malls are practicing and enforcing safety precautions as much
as they can but as consumers, we need to do our part and make sure to follow
these guidelines, for our own safety and the safety of others. We cannot
stress enough the importance of practicing safety measures, during the holiday
season we saw the number of COVID cases increase and how hard it was for our
medical staff to stay afloat, we do not want to make that same mistake again. Many
will want to gather, spend time with family and friends, shop and dine but remember
we are still in the pandemic and we are only scratching the surface. Vaccines
are being distributed, yes, on a tier level, but we are on the right path to
overcome this pandemic, until everyone is given the opportunity to get
vaccinated please be aware of your surroundings and respect others space, we
are in this together!
Here are a few safety tips to
keep in mind if you are out:
– Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer after
touching doorknobs, countertops, chairs, trays, etc.
– Wear a face covering properly (covering nose,
mouth and coming down past your chin) when out in public.
– Keep your distance (6 feet) from others. Most
importantly if you are sick stay home.
