Healthcare Staffing Professionals is looking for Psychiatrist that are committed to quality care and interested in making a difference in a Correctional Setting. We recently received increased rates for facilities in Stockton, Vacaville and Soledad and the pay rate is $325 per hour working 20 hours per week on a 6 month commitment or 40 hours per week on a 3 month commitment for Independent Contractors.

Hourly Contractor Pay Rate:

$325/hr ($52,000 monthly pay is assuming contractor works 160 hours a month)

Contract Length

6 month or 3 month assignments

Job Description

Under the clinical direction of the Chief Psychiatrist/Senior Psychiatrist or designee, and the administrative direction of the Chief of Mental Health, Psychiatrists provide extensive psychiatric services or work in a review, evaluation, or consultative capacity.

Job Duties

· Meet with mentally ill patient for crisis interventions, face to face interviews, etc

· Conduct initial mental health evaluations

· Participate in Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT) Meeting;

· Monitor Patient Progress using Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan and Education (SOAPE) formatted progress notes

· Perform mental status exams in face to face clinical interviews

· Examine prior mental health records , probation reports, court records and other available documents to assist in the formulation of patient diagnosis

· Make Clinical rounds and review progress of patients , including assessment in patient housing unit

· Participate in committees and Quality Improvement Teams

· Compile and analyze data from audits pertaining to the mental health program requirement
