Throughout the pandemic we have touched on the importance of creating and maintaining a healthy lifestyle during quarantine. We have suggested some of healthy eating habits, encouraged you to workout at home or go outdoors, and give you ideas on how to create an office space in your home that would not over power the feeling of “being home” when you are off the clock. We have decided to look up some exercises you can do anywhere and some foods that will help eliminate stress for you. We decided to bring you 4 – 5 of each category in hope that it will help you eliminate some stress, and not add stress to you by having you research and possibly get overwhelmed by all the information out there.

Blueberries – Filled with Vitamin C, can be eating as a snack, or you can through it on top of your oatmeal, Acai bowl, cereal, yogurt, or even include it in your smoothies!
Avocado – Who doesn’t like Avocado? now we can love it even more because it boosts your immune system, high in Antioxidants, and filled with Vitamins!
Cashews – Did you know that cashews are Natural Anti – Depressants?! Rich in Antioxidants and are a great as on the snacks!
Dark Chocolate – Yes, Dark Chocolate will make anyone’s mood change for the better! Guilt free because it reduces stress, heart healthy, improves memory and much more!
Leafy Greens – Such as spinach, asparagus, Broccoli help boost the immune system, improves brain Function, and relieves stress! You can incorporate these into almost any meal of the day!

Yoga:

Cardio:
You can walk, run or ride a bike for 20-30 min to let go of any build up you may have developed throughout the day, and you will be able to get out of the house and get some fresh air! Taking time out of your day to get some fresh air after being inside all day can help you focus better!
Body weight Exercises:
You don’t need to have a gym or weights on hand you can use your own weight. There are so many exercises out there that you can do but here are some of our recommendations:
Body weight squat: Lets build the glute, after sitting for so long doing 15- 20 of these can help you not feel so guilty about sitting all day, and did you know that doing a squat not only works the glute but strengthens your core, tones your legs, helps keep your joints healthy, and improves your posture and much more!
Plank: They look easy, but try holding them for a period of time, start at 30 secs and go up from there. Holding a plank position strengthens your core, arms, legs, and glutes, not to mention reduces back pain, improves spine health and posture! After holding a plank, you will feel that you did a whole-body work out! Great for doing on short breaks!
