October is here! For the past couple months, we have been keeping track of what businesses can re- open and what the limitations/ restrictions are set in place to keep our communities safe. Businesses that are reopening vary from state to state, county to county, so we recommended to always check with your local state officials to see what restrictions have been lifted in your area.
We understand we all have the urge to get back to outdoor dining and activities, but if you should be out remembered to take precautions because we are still in the pandemic. We want to keep you and your loved ones safe during the pandemic, and as we are starting to see more restaurants and bars open we want to give you information that can help keep you safe.
The CDC has put together a risk chart that categories the potential risk you are taking when you are at a restaurant or bar setting, the chart ranges from Lowest Risk to Highest Risk. Please see below for the following risk chart (Guiding Principles):
Lowest Risk: Food service limited to drive-through, delivery, take-out, and curb-side pick-up.
More Risk: Drive-through, delivery, take-out, and curb-side pick-up emphasized. On-site dining limited to outdoor seating. Seating capacity reduced to allow tables to be spaced at least 6 feet apart.
Even More Risk: On-site dining with both indoor and outdoor seating. Seating capacity reduced to allow tables to be spaced at least 6 feet apart.
Highest Risk: On-site dining with both indoor and outdoor seating. Seating capacity not reduced, and tables not spaced at least 6 feet apart.
When going out please keep in mind the risk you are taking. Always wash your hands or use hand sanitizer after touching doorknobs, countertops, chairs, trays, etc. Wear a face covering properly (covering nose, mouth and coming down past your chin) when out in public. Keep your distance (6 feet) from others. Most importantly if you are sick stay home.
